Shipping Your Car to Israel

Every Israeli citizen and Oleh Hadash holding a valid driver's license may import a vehicle. The significant differences in the price of cars in the U.S. and cars in Israel certainly makes it worthwhile to bring them. The types of vehicles that can be imported are the following:- New Vehicles
- Preowned vehicles (up to 24 months old)
- Collectible vehicles
The costs of importing a car are:
Standard Service - Port to Port: $1,999.00 (car) or $999.00 (motorcycle or jet-ski)
This service includes:
- Up to 1 Month of Free Storage
- Processing the export documents and mailing them to Israel
- Customs clearance at the U.S. Port of Origin
- Loading the car into a container
- Ocean freight to Israel
Premium Service - Door to Door: $4,999.00 (car) or $3,999.00 (motorcycle or jet-ski) + the cost of bringing the vehicle to our warehouse from the car dealer (approx. $1,000 - 2,000 USD depending on the distance from our warehouse)
This service includes:
- Obtaining an import permit from the department of motor vehicles
- Storing the car in our New Jersey warehouse until the permit is received
- Processing the export documents and mailing them to Israel
- Customs clearance at the U.S. Port of Origin
- Loading the car into a container
- Ocean freight to Israel
- Unloading the car from the container in port Haifa
- Customs Clearance
- Terminal Handling Charges (except for cars valued over $50,000, for which the THC will be charged separately)
- Preliminary registration at the department of motor vehicles, issuance of a temporary license and license plates
Terms and Limitations for Importing the Vehicle:
- The vehicle cannot be more than 24 months old at the time it is registered in Israel
- The importer may import up to 2 vehicles in a time period of 12 months
- The importer must have a valid Israeli driver's license for the type of vehicle he is importing
- The importer must have the original Car Title
- The importer must have the Bill of Sale or original receipt
